  • What is a finished home at The Retreat?

    A finished home is a dwelling that is specifically designed to suit each lot within The Retreat and once constructed, means that a prospective purchaser has nothing else to do but move into their new home upon completion!

  • Who will be constructing the homes at The Retreat?

    The Developers of The Retreat are constructing each dwelling within the development and are proud to be affiliated with its quality building partners, namely Dale Alcock Homes, Aveling Homes and Ross North Group.

  • What is included in my finished home?

    All homes include floor coverings, window treatments, internal and external painting, feature elevations, fencing and landscaping. It even includes your clothesline and letterbox!

  • What will the layout and elevation of my house look like?

    The Developers of The Retreat have set a high standard of streetscape quality.

    The spacious homes in Stage 1 are modern and contemporary and comprise 3 bedroom (one with 4 bedrooms), 2 bathroom dwellings and a theatre room. The building layouts have been carefully planned in consultation with the City of Mandurah and have been thoughtfully designed to maximise solar orientation principles.

    Each house has a predetermined elevation in conjunction with the Estate Design Guidelines to ensure the quality of the development is not compromised. This is consistent with the approved colour selection palette for external finishes at The Retreat.

  • How long will it take to build my new home?

    Typically, the construction of each dwelling at The Retreat from slab down to key handover is approximately 26 weeks.

    Your sales representative will provide you with milestone updates as your house construction progresses.

  • What does my internal colour scheme look like?

    The interior selections of your home have been compiled by the professional pre-start personnel employed by our building partners.

    Purchasers will have a choice of two specification packages which will detail floor coverings, window treatments and other internal finishing elements. Please see your sales representative for more information.

  • What is Practical Completion?

    Practical Completion is when your new home is ready for a pre-handover inspection.

    Should your contract to purchase be unconditional at the time of Practical Completion, you will be invited to accompany the building site manager on an inspection of your new home, to identify any omissions or defects which would deem the property unsuitable for its intended purpose.

  • This all sounds great… what do I have to do to secure my dream home?

    It’s easy!

    Your sales representative will walk you through the Offer and Acceptance paperwork.

    Within 7 days of Contract Acceptance, you will need to make a deposit of $10,000.00 into the trust account of the Developer’s settlement agent.

    If your purchase is subject to finance or sub-sale, you will then have a further obligation to satisfy the terms and conditions of your Offer and Acceptance. Once you have satisfied all the conditions of your Offer and Acceptance paperwork, your contract is then deemed unconditional. If you cannot satisfy these conditions, your deposited is refunded in full without offset or deduction.

    The good news for you is that there are no further payments to be made until your house has reached Practical Completion, after which date you are required to settle on your home within 14 days.

  • Do I need a settlement agent?

    A conveyancer / settlement agent will guide you through the settlement process.

    They will prepare all the necessary paperwork on your behalf and assist by liaising with all the relevant parties involved in your home settlement process.

  • Do I receive any warranties with my new home?

    At settlement, you will receive a Home Care and Service Guide for a list of the warranty items and periods for each item in your home.

    You will also receive a 6 year structural guarantee from the date of completion of construction.

    A 6 month maintenance period for all homes is available at The Retreat. All new homes have a “settling in” period where external factors (such as temperature fluctuations) may cause subtle changes (such as cornice cracking) in your home. The 6 month maintenance and warranty program is very comprehensive and further instructions regarding this are available in your Home Care and Service Guide.

  • Tell me about the landscaping maintenance on offer…

    As an added bonus to the first 12 buyers at The Retreat, the Developer will maintain your front garden for the first 12 months after settlement. A special 12 month deal for our very valued first 12 buyers!

  • And what about the “facilities” at Mandurah Quay Resort?

    The first 12 buyers at The Retreat have the added bonus of optional access to the adjoining Mandurah Quay Resort facilities including swimming pool, spa, gym, function room and BBQs.

  • This all sounds terrific. Do you have a sales office and who can I speak to?

    There is a beautifully furnished display home at The Retreat (34 Marina Quay Drive, Erskine) that is open three days a week, so please feel free to pop in and have a chat to our friendly sales representatives.
